About Me

The values most important to me are kindness and honesty. I tried to think of a third value (as these things ought to come in threes, right?) but I couldn’t think of anything that’s as important. They’re reflected in my work, my world-view, the trajectory I try to steer my children on; everything.

I’m disposed towards being open-minded, building warm relationships, listening, and helping people. I became a journalist (a long time ago) with the naïve but idealistic ambition of giving people a voice and telling their stories. I see photography as a similar pursuit. At its best it really matters; it represents and defines the stories, friendships, and moments that make people who they are.

Artistically my work is defined by my own perspectives on humanism and authenticity. The feeling of my photography reflects what it’s like to work with me; intuitive, relaxed, and informal.

My Background

I’m a father of two girls, in a family of four, living on the French Riviera. I began my career as a newspaper journalist in the UK and spent seven years working on newspapers before moving into public relations, then graphic design, and marketing.

In 2018 our family of four moved to Tunisia in North Africa to allow my partner to take up a teaching role there. We exchanged roles and I became a stay-at-home dad for our then one-year-old child while my wife worked full-time. In Tunisia I began working with another photographer to create a wedding photography business and also photographed for NGO's with my work being published by several news and political organisations such as the UNHCR.

In my spare time I play classical guitar to performance standard and listen to various sub-genres of heavy metal that my wife cannot stand.
