Elopements in the South of France

Elope in Nice, Provence, or the French Riviera

My friendly team and I organise beautifully curated Elopement Packages in the French Riviera’s most scenic locations. They include charismatic English-speaking celebrants with the charm and sensitivity to create poignant, once-in-a-lifetime memories along with videography and imagery that captures real relationships in all their scintillating sparkle.

There are some incredible elopement locations dotted around Nice, Antibes, Eze, Menton, and on the hills in and around Monaco. Which one you opt for depends on your vision, desired lighting conditions, and privacy.

Elopement Packages on the French Riviera

Beginning at 1299 euros for a photographer and celebrant, these experiences are tailor-made for each couple and carefully crafted to be friendly, easy-going, and fun.

Each part of the elopement is brought together using my extensive knowledge and contacts in the French Riviera – from flowers and champagne to locations and timing – to create the best experiences and imagery the region can offer, saving hours of research and organisation.

Elopement packages include a professional celebrant and photography; with optional videography and drone footage. Other extras include picnic hampers, petals, flowers, and champagne.

In addition to this is detailed advice to assist you with transport, timings, location suggestions, and my knowledge on avoiding crowds and contacts for hiring a car, a musician, or to book a restaurant table with a view. I can even advise on which Airbnb’s have the best views of the French Riviera for a wedding or elopement ceremony.

The Celebrant and the Elopement Ceremony Itself

Typically, there’s a lightly-structured ceremony where the celebrant recounts information and quotes from each partner. These are formulated after separate interviews conducted with each partner. The couple hear a summary of their story and hear how their relationship and friendship ended up with them stood where they are, in that moment.

The couple can hear themselves described by their partner and what makes each unique in the other’s eyes. They're then invited to read out a statement to the other that contains their feelings, their hopes for the future, and their vows.

A ring-exchange is optional and is choreographed and led by the celebrant. The couple is invited to seal their commitments with a kiss before a conclusion of the ceremony that draws upon perhaps the most exciting aspect of the relationship – its future and the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of each partner.

There are other elements that are offered as part of the ceremony, but these can be kept confidential to avoid spoilers. Everything mentioned here is optional and flexible, with the aim of each ceremony being unique, poignant, having a degree of fun and spontaneity; being tailored to what feels right for each couple.

Help with Planning an Elopement on the French Riviera

Organizing an elopement in the South of France from far away can be daunting, but an informal ten-minute chat can often save days of online research and uncertainty.

Many locations on the French Riviera can be busy during tourist season and the best secluded locations all have quirks including things like sun positioning, access, and popularity that will affect the feel of the elopement and accompanying imagery. It’s important to choose the right location at the right time and to have an itinerary that ensures things run in a way that’s smooth and stress-free.

I’ve helped organise many life-defining moments on the French Riviera, from picture-perfect proposals to weddings and elopements. Therefore, I understand how daunting it can feel to organise something so important from afar – especially if there’s a language barrier.

I work in a way that’s completely flexible, including a policy whereby if weather conditions on someone’s preferred day aren’t optimal, clients can rearrange their event for free subject to my diary. During times of the year when the weather is less certain (I’d say between late August and the beginning of May), I’d advise clients to maybe have a back-up date with me around their preferred day.

Easy-going, informal photoshoots

I’m an established, full-time photographer on the French Riviera and it’s me who provides the imagery and drone. I have a photography style that’s super-relaxed and informal but you may want to see if you like it before we work together. There’s a whole library of images to browse on my blog and or Instagram feed and you’ll quickly get the idea. There’s no awkward posing and never anything forced or clichéd.

While my own style is what I naturally defer to, I’m also happy to work with any inspiration you’ve found online or any specific images you have in mind that you want to recreate. If you have a specific vision I’d invite you to show me a mood board that we can use to make sure you have the light, location, and feel. I work with an attentive and reliable videographer who is happy and flexible to take on board any creative input you may have.

Depending on the location, weather, and restrictions drone imagery and footage can be included as part of the packages.

Pricing and Payment

As with traditional weddings, these elopement packages come with a simple contract which outlines costs, the date and location, and what clients will receive and by when. The contract is there for peace of mind and reassurance for both the client and the delivery team. The cost of elopement ceremonies with a photography package and celebrant begins at 1299 euros and booking requires a deposit of 300 euros.
